*Michtav L'HaKohen Lavater. Rebuttal to the Christian Priest by Moses ben Menachem [Mendelssohn], Hebrew translation with comments. Berlin, 1892. First Hebrew edition.
22 [1] page, 2 cm. Additional German title page.In 1760, Lavater published an article demanding that Mendelssohn convert. This is Mendelssohn's response. Printed according to a manuscript of R' Shlomo Zalman Chaim Halberstam with a preface and comments by Y.S. Fuchs. Translated from Yiddish to Hebrew with comments by R' Meir ben Yehuda of Lissa, although the title page erroneously notes Naftali Hertz Wessely.
Printed binding in Hebrew and German. Very fine condition.
