TRAUDL JUNGE
(1920 - 2002) German secretary who worked as Adolf Hitler's last private secretary from December 1942 to April 1945. After typing out Hitler's will, she remained in the Berlin Fuhrerbunker until his death. T.L.S. on personal letterhead, 1p. 8vo., Munich, March 25, 2000, to a collector in full: 'Please excuse my delayed response to your letter on Feb. 19. I just came back from a trip to Morocco. You asked if I had visited the historical sites of my past. Yes, I did visit Obersalzberg, Wolfschanze, and Berlin, but there was nothing left which touches me. I realized that this chapter of my life is finally closed. I am living in the present, looking forward to some more years in health, peace, and freedom.' Signed at the conclusion in blue ink. Fine condition.
