Russian icon with silver oklad of "Christ with the Globe" - Moscow 1805; ; egg tempera on wood with gilt silver and enamel oklad, depicting "Christ with the Globe". Fully hallmarked with 84 zolotniks (875/1000) silver marks, used in Moscow in 1805, assayer Mikhail Mikhailovich Karpinsky, cyrillic makers' mark not identified (Ref. Postnikova-Loseva p. 205 nr 2099). Dimensions 24 x 19 x 2 cm. Weight 650 gr. Item condition grading: **** good (defects to the outside of the oklad).
