Each handle is set with a coin depicting a member of the royal family (Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward).
The coins were made by the Franklin Mint Company.

Fully hallmarked for London, England, dated 1972, maker mark for Ernest Pobjoy.
