Medal Awarded by the Jewish Community - Italy, 1855
Medal awarded to Albert Abraham Cohn, who was in charge of the extensive charities of Baron James Jakob Mayer de Rothschild. The medal shows objects from the Jewish temple, including the tablets of the law, the menorah and various temple utensils; a Hebrew inscription praising the lord; and a dedication in Italian to Cohn from the Italian Jewish community, apparently for his contribution to the community. Italy, 1855. Diameter: approximately 5.5 cm. Good condition, dirt residues, wear.
