Medal depicting the Revelation on Mount Sinai
A medal depicting the Revelation on Mount Sinai. The medal shows Biblical Moses given the Torah by angels, on the background of the lights, voices, trumpet blast, and smoke, while the Israelites stand afar. On the reverse, the medal shows the tablets of the law with the ten commandments in German, surrounded by the inscription: keep them and live.
Apparently, Germany, circa the 18th century. Diameter: approximately 4 cm. Good condition, light dents, wear.
