War of Independence era parcel card for shipment to the Army: 30-09-1948 postmarked Mandate-era pink parcel card, from TEL AVIV to KABA 267 (central recruitment base/Recruitment Center #5 - per Harris), for a package weighing 7.9kg & franked 100m for the weight - on the last day of the first Israeli postage rate period (DO-1), before the rate rose on 1 October; front & backstamped by TLV-4 post office; front-stamped twice 3 Oct 1948 APO 8 (NETANYA) transit-arrival & same day delivery - eve of Rosh HaShana, probably a package for the holiday. The curious rubber-stamped return address, P.O.Box 303 in Tel Aviv, belonged to the Cultural department of the Israel Workers Labor Union (HaHistadrut HaClalit shel HaOvdim HaIvriim be Eretz Israel).
