Three terracotta black juglets, short neck, lug handle drawn from the rim to the shoulder, small body.
Height 9.5, 8.6 and 7.4. Some abrasion.

Iron Age IIC, ca. 8th – early 6th cent BCE. This period witnessed the conquest of the Northern Kingdom of Israel by Assyria under Tiglath Pileser in 723, precipitating a migration of Israelites to Judah creating a strong state with its capital in Jerusalem albeit short-lived until the destruction of the Temple in 586 by Nebuchadnezzar.
