The Byzantine period (4th- 7th centuries A.D) is well known for its religious and cultural prosperity, in which Christianity took dominant over the land of Israel. The fine Byzantine ware refers to a unique group of vessels, produces in the Jerusalem region from the beginning of the 6th century A.D, and distinguished by its fabric and decoration.
