The first part of the book printed in Lutsin is before us. The second part was printed in Tel Aviv. An interesting notice by the printer on the back binding hints at the tense situation in Lutsin in those years - because although he has many more sermons and novellae from the author, he has been unable to print them 'because for various reasons, the great author had to rush his safe immigration to the land of our fathers, as such, I heeded his request to quickly finish his book as it is now ..."
Few Hebrew titles printed in Lutsin, which is in Eastern Latvia, are known. Between the two world wars, the Jewish population of the city was approximately 1500, only five people of Ludza [Lutsin] survived the Holocaust.
