Kota- a memorial statue
A african wooden piece called Kota or Bakota, was used as a guardian of the heads of the community after they past.
This Couples Bakota of a man and woman is carved in wood combined with metal application, a beaded necklace around their neck and belt around their waist.
The Bakota is attached to a wooden base signed and engraved by hand.
This Bakota has been preserved and a small piece of the base is missing (might have been missing from the beginning)
