A proclamation on behalf of High Commissioner regarding the establishment of a commission of inquiry into the events. September 1929.
The manifesto was distributed from the sky by the Royal Air Force
During the week of events, 133 Jews were killed and 339 were wounded. Of the Arabs, 116 were killed and 232 injured, most of them by the British security forces.
Following the events, British High Commissioner John Chancellor issued a harsh statement.
This harsh statement, directed at the Arabs, provoked outrage at the High Commissioner, and a few days later he issued a second statement, which states that an investigation will be conducted into the conduct of both sides.
