Petach Beit David, responsum on Even Ha-Ezer and Choshen Ha-Mishpat, by Rabbi Yosef Ben David Ben Shabtai of Salonika. Salonika, 1746. Part B of Sefer Beit David (Part A is on Orach Chaim and Yoreh De'ah).
Signature on title-page: "this is my book, Eliyahu Anav".
Rabbi Eliyahu Anav, a leading rabbi in Constantinople. Disciple of Rabbi Eliyahu Palombo, in 1804 signed first amongst the disciples of Rabbi Eliyahu Palombo on the introduction to his book "Yad Ha-Melech". Rosh Yeshivah and Dayan of Balat. Served as chief rabbi of Constantinople in 1826. Died in 1832.
Few glosses in Sephardi handwriting.
[2],96; 158 leaves, 28 cm. Good condition. Thick paper and colored edging. Moth damages to borders, no damage to text. Moisture marks.
