New Year’s Greeting Card. Silk Embroidery. Germany, ~1900.
Greeting Card with Hebrew: לשנה טובה תכתבו, hand-embroidered with silk threads. Germany, ~1900. Two cardboard pages size 14×9 cm. Opens like a notepad. Thin, delicate flax cloth with a colorful rose hand-embroidered with silk threads. On the inside page is printed לשנה טובה תכתבו in Hebrew and English. A colorful ribbon connects the two parts of the card. On the inside is attached a page printed with a long blessing for the new year, in English. Very fine condition.
