Prayers recited when removing the Torah from the ark (Barich Shmaya and Ribbono shel Olam). Artistic handwriting. Shmuel Katz. Eastern Europe, 1920s. [1] Thick paper in original, impressive wooden frame. Size: 118×75 cm. Artistically written in large black and red letters. Decorated with Stars of David and arches/rainbows. At the bottom it says it was written in memory of … Wooden frame engraved with the phrase: שיויתי ה’ לנגדי and a Star of David. Colored in gold. Rings for hanging on the back. Top part of frame was re-glued. Light damage. Red color faded. Fine condition.
