First edition in Yiddish of the well-known story about the Maharal and the stones of the Choshen. Many question its authenticity. * Maor Hachashmal. Blemish on the dust cover title. Rabbi Yudel Rosenberg was born in Radum, in the Polish Segment. He was known as an exceptional Torah scholar, lamdan. He served as a Rabbi and Dayan in the communities of Terla, Lodz and Warsaw. He emigrated to Canada, where he died. He composed the learned book Yadot Nedarim on Tractate Nedarim, and also a translation of the Zohar to Arabic. At the same time he composed several books of stories, though many question their authenticity. New bindings. In good condition in general.
