This sefer was precious and dear to the Chida, who would refer to the sefer a great deal in his sefarim. In his sefer "Shem Hagedolim" he writes of the sefer: 'Sweet words and wonderful introductions', and calls the author 'A wondrous drash lecturer' (darshan).
