Gur Aryeh, Talmudic novellae by Rabbi Massoud ben Rabbi Yehudah Tzermon. Lengthy dedication by the author on the title page.
Several glosses in the book from the period of printing that may have been written by the author.
Rabbi Massoud Tzermon [d. 1866] was a rabbi and lecturer in Oran (Algeria). He corresponded with Rabbi Shlomo Zorapha in Sha'ar Shlomo. He also composed a hymn about the rescue of the Jews of Oran from its Arabs, during the period of the French occupation. It would be recited on Shabbat Chazon. (See more in Malchei Yeshurun pp. 104.)
