Volter Aleksei Aleksandrovich (1889-1973)
Soviet artist and museologist, Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery in 1932 - 1937. In 1964 he held a personal exhibition. In addition to artistic activities, he was engaged in museum work. Since 1920, he served as director of the Central Handicraft Museum of the Supreme Council of the National Economy, and since 1932 - director of the State Tretyakov Gallery. Voltaire's paintings were shown at all-Union and anniversary exhibitions, are kept in the collection of the State Russian Museum and other major collections.
