Block A. Catilina. A page from the history of the world Revolution.
Petersburg. Alkonost. 1919 72 p. Softcover, size 11.5 x 15.5 cm. Good condition.

Alexander Blok's inspirational essay 'Catilina', dated April 1918, adjoins such Pythian creations as` Intelligentsia and Revolution`, ` the Twelve`, ` the Scythians`, when the poet, as he later said, `gave himself up to the elements for the last time'. An episode from the bloody annals of Ancient Rome is projected on the terrible events of the Russian revolution, which shook the world, and is seen in the light of an epoch-making revolution, like the coming of the Savior.
