"Zemshchina" - Russian extreme right-monarchist daily newspaper, published in St. Petersburg from June 1909 to February 1917.
In the autumn of 1915 became a publisher N. E. Markov, which turned the publication into the actual body of the Union of the Russian people. The publication published materials of a number of right-wing publicists and politicians, such as: Butmi de Katsman, N. P. Tikhmenev, N. Ah. Engelhardt, L. T. Zlotnikov, etc.
The newspaper was subsidized by the Ministry of internal Affairs from the so-called "reptile Fund" of secret (undisclosed for the control of the State Duma) funds to support the right press.
During the world war, the newspaper promoted the thesis that the blame for its unleashing lies not on Germany, but on world Jewry, called on the authorities to introduce a dictatorship in Russia.
