Dada - Monograph of a Movement (book) edited by Willy Verkauf, with his handwritten signature, published by Arthur Niggli Ltd., Switzerland, 1957. 188 pages, hardcover. Overall in good condition: pages slightly yellow. *Dada or Dadaism is an avant-garde artistic-cultural movement founded in Zurich in 1916, active until 1923. Other Dada activity centers were Berlin, Hannover, Paris, Cologne and New York.
Members of the movement openly engaged in various artistic genres simultaneously, such as plastic arts, literature, poetry, photography, cinema and more. The Dadaist artworks challenged the beliefs and conventions of European society at that time and were inspired by various artistic models originating in avant-garde art of the early 20th century.
