Lot of 2 certificates of a Jew who immigrated to Israel from Russia, one is a Russian diploma from 1913, the second is a birth certificate from Eretz Israel from 1931. The birth certificate is signed by the Chief Rabbi of Eretz Israel, Ben Zion Meir Uziel. The Jew Cohen Jacob Fibush, born in Homel, Russia in 1884. He studied medicine and in 1913 received an ophthalmologist degree. He was active in the Zion Youth party and took part in the Haganah during the riots in Homel. During the First World War, he was a doctor in the Red Cross and received a medal of excellency. In 1919 he immigrated to Israel via Milta (Crimea), Athens and Beirut. He worked as an ophthalmologist at Hadassah Hospital in Jaffa, Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv.
