Letter by the Beis Din of Munkatch Signed by the Rosh Av Beis Din Rabbi David Schlisel and the Dayanim of the Town
Foreign document by the Beis Din of Munkatch, with the handwritten signature of the Gaon Rabbi David Schlisel, Rosh Av Beis Din and Ram of Munkatch. 1933.
In the document, the members of the Beis Din of Munkatch and the vicinity confirm that the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Klein serves as Rav, for immigrating to the Holy Land.
The signatories are the famed pious Geonim: the Rosh Av Beis Din Rabbi David Schlisel author of Imrei David, Rabbi Chaim Schreiber-Sofer, the grandson of the author of Afsei Aretz, who perished in the Holocaust abd tge Gaon Rabbi Menachem Weiss (identification based on their foreign signatures).
