Ilse Weber (1903-1944; born: Ilse Herlinger) was a Czech Jewish poet who wrote in German and died in the Holocaust. In this book, she took it upon herself to promote the self-confidence of Jewish children in the face of growing anti-Semitism in Europe. Through the practical stories, which take place in the Jewish world, the young readers became familiar with Jewish values and learned about holidays and tradition. Elijah the prophet is one of the recurring characters in the book. The book also includes Zionist motifs and a story about a boy who dreams of going to Palestin. This is an important book that is the subject of research. Before us is the second and very rare edition that came out near the rise of the Nazi regime. hard cover.
