Book to mark the first decade of the "Bat" theater, the first Russian cabaret theater founded by Nikita Balieff . A stunning cover illustrated by Sergey Chekhonin  (1878-1936), a member of the Russian art group "Mir iskusstva" ("World of Art") active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Includes many photographs of the theater actors and scenes from plays.
Russian, 30x24 cm. Front cover: tears and lacks in the margins; completely disconnected. The rest of the booklet is in good-fair general condition, with general wear.
