Ten beautiful color illustrations by Birnbaum unfolding the story of Had Gadia. Very high quality printing.
Menachem Birnbaum (1893-1944) was the son of philosopher and journalist Nathan Birnbaum, who coined the term "Zionism". Menachem was a painter and book illustrator, perished in Auschwitz.
The book is bound between two cardboard boards (in the original - they were attached with laces, but in this copy they are glued with gaffer paper).
Hebrew and German, 29X23 cm. Good-fair condition: rust spots, loosening.
