Jacobus Kann's Zionist book. Kann was one of the founders of the Jewish Settlement Treasury Bank and the Anglo-Palestine Bank, one of the purchasers of Achuzat Bait lands and the first Dutch consul in the Land of Israel between 1924-1928. Includes a folding color map, many photographs of life in the Land of Israel, as well as portraits of Herzl, Wolfson and Nordau. Rebound in fancy three-quarter leather binding. Inside: the original cover. The book was originally published in Dutch in 1908, this is the first French edition published two years later.
