S.Y. Agnon - Beautiful Letter to David Shimoni and Signed Card - 1936

In this letter, Agnon wrote: "I have no money, neither mine nor that of others. And to take things with the gentleman you mentioned? It is easier for you to talk to the Pope than it is for me to talk to the gentleman you mentioned!".

Attached to the letter is Agnon's business card with the dedication: "To my dear friend David Shimoni".

Given in the original envelope, with both addresses and a postmark.

Good condition.
