בשער לא נזכר שם המחבר, אבל ידוע שרבי יצחק אלפייה חיברו. ראה: מ"ד גאון, יהודי המזרח בארץ-ישראל, ירושלים תרצ"ח, עמ’ 83. לכל חלק שער נוסף. מאחורי השער, חותמת רבי יצחק אלפיה, חברת אור חדש וצמח צדיק. ואלי גם זה הוכחה שהוא המחבר. עם כיתובים נוספים.
הרב יצחק אלפייה (1878–1955) היה רב ודיין, מגדולי מקובלי ירושלים, יליד חלב שבסוריה. ידוע שהרב מרדכי אליהו אמר עליו שהוא אחד מל"ו צדיקים.
