In February 1987, 75 years since the establishment of the Women's Zionist Organization in America - Hadassah. For 75 years, Hadassah accompanied the community in Israel and gave it the best in modern medicine, youth aliyah, education and the development of the country. This assistance was essential to Israel's rebirth and development. Hadassah was founded in 1912 by Henrietta Szold, a social worker, teacher, and Zionist activist. Under her leadership, the organization grew from a group of 12 members of Zionist activists to a diverse organization that began to educate ideals throughout the United States and to promote public health issues and nurse training in Eretz Israel. Henrietta Szold's ideas and programs are also enriching the lives of the 385,000 Hadassah companies Directly in Jewish and Zionist activities, and today Hadassah is the largest organization of women volunteers in the United States.
The organization operates Hadassah University Hospitals in Jerusalem, Youth Aliyah, the Hadassah Comprehensive High School, the Hadassah College, the Hadassah Institute for Career Counseling, and is involved in KKL-JNF workshops and youth outreach from the United States.
