הגאון רבי משה שמעון פסח - (תרכ"ט - תשט"ו) רבה הראשי של העיר וולס ביוון ולאחר השואה הרב הראשי ביוון. היה אהוד מאד על בני קהילתו, פעל רבות להגברת גדרי הקדושה ויסד מוסדות תורניים רבים. נודע במיוחד בימי השואה עת הציל את בני קהילתו מצפורני הגיסטאפו והורה לכל יהודי העיר להמלט להרים, תוך ניצול קשריו אשר טיפח שנים עם השלטון המקומי. היה ידוע כפיקח מופלא ויודעי דבר ספרו כי מלך יוון היה בא מעת לעת להתייעץ עמו בסתר...
