Rabbi Tzvi Yaakov Abraham (1897-1974) was rabbi of Torada and director of the Orthodox Congregation in Transylvania. After his immigration to the United States, he was a rabbi in New York and a researcher of Transylvania Jewry. He was born in Transylvania, the son of Avraham Abraham. In 1921 he married the daughter of Rabbi Ben Zion Weasel, the rabbi of Torda. After his marriage, he moved to Torda. His father-in-law was the president of the Orthodox Congregation of Transylvanian Communities, which united the rabbis and Orthodox communities in this region. As part of his job he spent a lot of time in Bucharest and represented the office with the Romanian authorities.
