Unique Features: The book before us is one of the antisemitic works by judge and author Johann Friedrich Sigmund Holzschuher (1796-1861). A number of words in Yiddish are on the title page and in two titles within the book. The book lists, among other topics, the scams and tricks which the author attributes to Jews who come in contact with Christians, a number of tales related to Jews and a list of terms in the swindlers' language. Two illustrations depicting two of the stories told in the book are at the beginning of the book.
Condition: Fine-very fine. Aging stains. Simple binding.
