The letter is pasted to a larger paper, apparently by the addressee who added his comments to the letter.
Rabbi Yoel Ashkenazi was a tzaddik and chassid, who was born to his father Rabbi Baruch in Zborow, Galicia in 1884. He married the daughter of Rabbi Noach Weinberg, leader of the Slonim community in Tiberias where he died in 1970.
