[1] printed leaf with a list of the chassidim of the Gerer shtiebel on Weitzman Street in Kfar Saba in 1960 and the amount of their donations. The donor names were apparently written by someone else. The Beis Yisrael signed with a blue pen in the bottom left corner. 27x15 cm. Fine condition.
Rabbi Yisrael Alter was born in 1894 to his father, the "Imrei Emes", and learned by his grandfather, the "Sefas Emes". He studied kabbalah by HaRav Yaakov Moshe Charlop. He restored the chassidut until it became one of the leading dynasties. He was an ultra-Orthodox [charedi] leader of the Agudas Yisrael and Chinuch Atzmai. He passed away in 1977. His biography is titled "Pe'er Yisrael".
