Family tree of the great Hassidic Masters since the Ba’al Shem Tov. Printed on paper by Israel Hayim Goldstein, signed with his stamp. Mezrich, 1927.
68 x 58 cm. Frame 76 x 68 cm.
Includes hundreds of the descendants and disciples of the Ba’al Shem Tov. There is text by the printer as to the merits and importance of a ‘Tree of Life’ of the righteous. The artist’s stamp says ‘Israel Hayim Goldstein, Tree of Life of Mezrich’ in blue ink. Underneath is a warning: ‘If one is found without my signature one must know it has been stolen from me.’
New wooden frame. Signs of being folded with small loss. Fine condition.
