Midrash Shmuel al Pirkei Avot - Warsaw, 1874 - Articles on Mussar and Chassidut Handwritten at the Beginning and End of the Book
"So said the sacred Rebbi of Belz"
Sefer Midrash Shmuel on Pirkei Avot - Warsaw, 1874. Many essays on Chassidut and deep ideas on Divine service appear at the beginning and end of the sefer, in handwritten script from the period of printing. Unfortunately, we do not know the writer's identity, but it appears that he sought out leading Admori"m of his generation.
The front and back protective leaves as well as the booklet of leaves bound at the end of the book, contain many elucidations and ideas on topics in Divine service. Some are copied from sifrei mussar, and some are novellae and elucidations in the spirit of Chassidut. One of the leaves reads: "So said the sacred Rebbi of Belz." Some of the articles include ideas in the name of "The Admo"r" [ "כ"ק אאמו"ר זצללה"ה זי"ע הכ"מ" [?]]. The year 1871 is indicated at the top of one of the articles.
[1], 136 leaf. 22 cm. Over 16 pages are written in an Ashkenazic script from the time of printing.
