Poster printed in a large format - festive event in Kolomyya. Graphica Press - Kolomyya, 1930s. Hebrew and Yiddish in parallel.
The event included several parts: "Live Chanukah menorah with a choir, " soloist accompanied by piano, speech by Dr. Schwartz of Lvov - member of the Va'ad and Poel HaTziyoni, demonstration of wrestling exercises by the Dror team and more.
Approximately 15,000 Jews lived in Kolomyya at the time; it was considered the third-largest community in Galicia. The city's rabbi at the time was Rabbi Yisrael Yosef Lau, may his blood be avenged, uncle of the chief rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau.
Hebrew printed matter from this city is extremely uncommon, primarily due to the Holocaust that started several years later.
