A Letter from the Rebbe Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum of Kretshinof-Sighet
A letter in the handwriting and with the signature [and stamp] of the Rebbe of Kretshinof-Sighet Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum. Dated: Tazria 1950.
A personal letter about a future visit and meeting which is going to take place between the pair. The Rebbe expresses amazement that Rabbi Halberstam: "Has not yet corresponded with me regarding his arrival to our area on Shabbat" and adds that he is prepared to come to him "if there will be a suitable place to stay...and he will always instruct the true way to behave in the merit of his holy ancestors...".
Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum [1912-2006] the Rebbe of Kretshinof-Sighet author of "Torat Chaim V'Emunah', son of the Rebbe Rabbi Nissan Chaim of Brodstein and grandson of the Rebbe Rabbi Eliezer Zev of Kretshinof. Son-in-law of the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Mordechai of Nodvorna. Had a close relationship with the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Rokeach of Belz and the Rebbe Rayatz, Rebbe in Sighet, Kiryat Ata and Jerusalem. Known as a miracle worker through his heartfelt prayers, about the suffering of the nation and individuals.
