Two Letters - Rabbi Nissim Karelitz/Rabbi Chaim Shaul Karelitz

* Letter written and signed by Rabbi Nissim Karelitz [son of Rabbi Nachum Meir Karelitz and Batya, sister of the Chazon Ish] dated: 8th of Iyar 1998, regarding a kollel that should be recognized for draft exemption related purposes. [1] letterhead, 15x21 cm.

* Letter written and signed by Rabbi Chaim Shaul Karelitz [1912-2005, son of Rabbi Meir Karelitz, oldest brother of the Chazon Ish], dated the 2nd of Kislev 1985, regarding the Tiferet Yaakov kollel in Yavneh which was in danger of being closed. "The most serious aspect is that there is no other Torah institution in the entire city ... and the kollel's influence on the city, both directly and indirectly ... therefore its closure would be a tragedy for the place ..." [1] leaf, 15x20 cm.

Letters from Rabbi Chaim Shaul Karelitz are very uncommon, since he very rarely expressed himself in writing.

Both letters are in very fine condition.
