Letter Regarding Tzedakah from Leading Tzaddikim and Rabbis of Jerusalem from Kollel Perushim, Sent to the Tzaddik of Greditz, Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher


Receipt for a donation with blessings for the donor, Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher, from leading rabbis and activists, leaders of Jerusalem. Iyyar, 1861.


The signatories, renowned rabbis of Jerusalem, are: Rabbi Yeshayahu Berdaki, Rabbi Zundel Salant, Rabbi Ya'akov Berlin and Rabbi Ya'akov Teomim.


"For receipt of ... that which was sent to our kollel, [the donation from] the rabbis and tzaddikim, the gaba'aim a of the Kollel in Amsterdam, who received from the rabbi and ga'ava"d, lecturer in Greiditz, Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher, a sum of 40 r"t sent ... from the rabbi, ga'ava"d lecturer in Greiditz, Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher. May Hashem be with him and carry them always ..."
