Alfred Bernheim [1885-1974] was an Israeli photographer who immigrated from Germany. He ascended to the Land of Israel following the Nazis' rise to power, and settled in Jerusalem. He established a photography lab in his home and earned his livelihood by taking photographs ordered by various institutions, primarily the Bezalel National Disabilities House and the Hebrew University. Most of Bernheim's work focused on the creation of portraiture and photographs of architecture. He also dealt in commercial photography in the "new photography" style during his first years in the Land.
