Antique c1890 Boston Common Quilt
Antique c1890 Boston Common quilt, measuring 65" x 64". Comprised of 2.25" squares set on point. Fabric placement created the radiating design. Fabrics include mostly mourning prints and shirtings with some double pinks and indigos. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting with an off white cotton reverse. Edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. In fair condition with overall toning, spots, and a few seams coming undone. This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon's Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
