Milot HaHigayon L'HaRamba"m. Justinian Press. Incomplete copy. The final two leaves are completed with artistic photocopies.
This is the Ramba"m's first sefer, which tradition maintains was written by him while he was still in Spain, at the age of only sixteen - or at most, twenty-two! The sefer was written in Arabic and entitled Makalah fi Al-Tzaeh al-Mantkiyah (Treatise on Logic) and translated into Lashon HaKodesh by Rabbi Moshe Ibn Tibbon. The Ramaba"m's words are printed in the center, surrounded by commentaries. The last page has a diagram with circles covering the entire page.
The sefer deals with the foundations of logic, including concepts such as categories, arguments, proofs and syllogisms. It is considered one of the most important works in the history of Jewish logic and it was a major influence on Jewish and Christian philosophers alike.
This fundamental sefer is the root of comprehending the Ramba"m's sefarim, primarily Moreh Nevuchim.
